Being Human and jitters

Just saw a great pilot on BBC3 that I really hope goes to series. Being Human follows the lives of three flatmates in Bristol who just happen to be a vampire, werewolf and a ghost.
The pre publicity had primed me for a sitcom, so I was initally a bit disconcerted when it proved more sit than com. What it proved to be was a witty drama that wasnt afraid to go into dark and troubling places and managed to wear all those big horror mythologies very lightly, like one of those little hats women wear in 40s films. Thanks to the terrific central performances (a louche jarvis cocker-esque bloodsucker, a nervy speccy lycanthrope, and a chatty but vulnerable spook) it all felt lived in, and didnt have that air of desperately trying to be cool that hangs over so many pilots (er, Bionic woman 2007, anyone?).

Why jitters? Well on a personal note, in a few hours Ill be watching a rough cut of Faintheart
Im a bit nervous as its the culmination of a lot of hard work (well not hauling coal out the ground or nightshift at A & E hard, but you get the point) and this will be my first look at it.
Ill try to be cool, objective and impartial before declaring it the pinnacle of human achievement to date.
If you're wondering what the image below is, it's a crude sketch I did as an idea for a film poster. It was meant to be a bit knowingly bombastic, a bit 'Conan' with a side order of Boris Vallejo but ended up like one of those Franklin Mint plates commemorating the many sideburns of Elvis.

Was very excited about Being Human, then completely forgot to watch it. Hurrah for the iPlayer, I say.
